Three directors form the team to administer the King’s Kids Child Development Centers. Dr. Williams provides the overall management; Ms. Ruthie serves as the educational director and Ms. Ursula functions in the capacity of financial director. These three educated and experienced ladies form a seamless team for administration.
Lillie R. Williams, PhD was recruited to be the director of the King’s Kids Child Development Center in the fall of 1998. She is a 30-year retired Professor from Howard University where she also served as the Department Chair for 19 years. Her postgraduate studies include the University of Maryland and John’s Hopkins University. She earned her doctorate of philosophy from Howard University.
Ruth Wesley, “Ms. Ruthie”, has been with King’s Kids since 2000. She has a bachelor’s degree in Legal Communications, an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Mastery of Teaching Certificate along with a host of continuing education and training certificates. She earned her Juris doctorate (law degree) from West Virginia University. Ms. Ruthie is the proud mother of four children, but opens her heart to love each of the King’s Kids as her own.
Ms. Ursula has worked in King’s Kids since 1997. She started out as an office administrator and eventually moved into her current role. Ms. Ursula has a BS in management from UMUC.
